Welcome to Mr. McDowell's classroom blog. I am very excited to have a classroom webpage and I hope that you will find it useful. The purpose of this blog is to provide a convenient (and reliable) communication link between students, parents, the school and Mr. McDowell. Classroom News - Oct. 20

The FCC Drive Away Hunger program ends tomorrow (Wednesday, Oct. 21).  As mentioned for the passed few weeks, students are encouraged to either bring non-perishable food items to school or fill-up the brown paper bag with non-perishable food items to donate to families in need.

Great job to those students who signed-up for the MC Knoll Choir!

 Our grade 7 class is hoping to do some "pumpkin carving" next Wednesday, Oct. 28.  We ask the you bring a pumpkin to participate in the festivities...

LA - Reading Group Assignment #1 (OVERDUE)
Math - 3.6/3.7 Division of Decimals (OVERDUE)
Math - Order of Operations Practice (Wednesday, Oct. 21)
Art - Caricatures (Thursday, Oct. 22)
Math - Decimals Unit Test (Friday, Oct. 23)

Reminders:
- If you are interested in volunteering at our MC Knoll school (S.C.C member, swish program, etc.), please read and return the School Community Council newsletter ASAP.
- This week is Education Week in the GSSD!  As part of the celebration, MC Knoll will be hosting a "mug and muffin" on Friday, Oct. 23 around 8:00 a.m.
- If interested in ordering school picture, please return the order form and appropriate money by Monday, Oct. 26.  If you are unhappy with the pictures, picture retakes are scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 27.
