- Our first day back from after Christmas Break is Ribbon Skirt/Shirt Day.  Ribbon skirts have many different meanings to different people but when an Indigenous person wears a skirt, she is using her clothing to demonstrate the strength and beauty of Indigenous people and culture.  It shows the world who they are and represents their identity as an Indigenous person.  To honour this day, we invite staff and students to wear clothing that represents the same message for them; to wear something that shows the world who you are.

Term 1 Report Cards were sent home today!  As always, go through the document with your son/daughter - discussing the areas of strength and areas still needing improvement.  Maybe even take them out for a "celebratory treat"!

I have reminded students that "being prepared for class" is important to their learning success.  This preparation includes having school supplies readily available.  Please talk to your son/daughter about what school supplies they NEED - as some students do not have pencils, paper, calculator, headphones, binders, water bottle, indoor shoes, etc.
