Where has another year gone?!?!

Thank you to everyone - students, parents, teachers - for making this school year SO wonderful.  I have enjoyed the opportunity to teach your son/daughter and wish them the best in Grade 8!

As I'm sure you have heard, this is my last year at MC Knoll School - 14 wonderful years in total!  My next adventure begins at the YRHS next year (currently assigned as a Gr. 9/10 Math and Career Guidance teacher).  This is not my last "goodbye" to our Knights...but instead, a "goodbye for now" - as I'll see them soon in the Land of Orange!

Our year-end field trip to Good Spirit Lake is scheduled for tomorrow (Friday, June 24).  Students need to bring clothing and footwear suitable for outdoor activities - closed-toe shoes, jackets for unpredictable and inclement days, insect repellent, sunscreen, and water bottles. Student should also bring a bag lunch and/or money to purchase food and drink at the Gitko Lake Store.  We will enjoy "Geocaching" and "Fire-Building" activities in the a.m., followed by "Beach Time" (no swimming though) in the p.m.  Fun times all around!

Sorry for the "no post" yesterday - I was away at the Gr. 4/5 Showcase Track and Field Meet yesterday.

Speaking of Track and Field, the Gr. 6-8 Track and Field Meet is scheduled for tomorrow (Thursday, June 9th).  Our Knights will be joining 5 other schools - Dr. Brass, Columbia, Yorkdale, Springside, Saltcoats - over at the YRHS Century Field.  Be prepared for a full day of running, jumping and throwing.

Lastly, our 7M class had a "talk" today about being leaders in our classroom, the building and the community as a whole.  Despite the end of the year coming soon, it is important for EVERYONE to continue to be kind, respectful and responsible.
