Welcome to Mr. McDowell's classroom blog. I am very excited to have a classroom webpage and I hope that you will find it useful. The purpose of this blog is to provide a convenient (and reliable) communication link between students, parents, the school and Mr. McDowell. I invite you to check this blog on a daily basis as I will be posting valuable information about the classroom and the school - including daily homework assignments, important dates, classroom/school news, etc.

Classroom News - Nov. 16

Student-Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held next Wednesday, Nov. 24 and Thursday, Nov. 25.  Conferences will take place using ZOOM.  Conference times have been scheduled and confirmation sheets were sent home yesterday.  If you have any questions/concerns, please contact the school ASAP. 

Another set of Scholastic Book Orders were sent home today.  Use the classroom code to order - RC178758.  Also, don't forget about the upcoming Scholastic Book Fair - scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 18 to Sunday, Nov. 28.  Our 7M class will hopefully have the opportunity to preview the event tomorrow during our scheduled Library period.

Homework:
Math - Fractions/Decimals/Percents (Wednesday, Nov. 17)
ELA - Every Day is Earth Day Q's/Activities (Thursday, Nov. 18)
ELA - Spelling Story (TBD)

Reminders:
- With Term 1 officially "in the books", Term 1 Report Cards will be handed-out on Friday, Nov. 19.  
- Students are encouraged to "dress appropriately for outdoor weather" - toque, mitts, winter jacket, boots, ski pants, etc.
