Welcome to Mr. McDowell's classroom blog. I am very excited to have a classroom webpage and I hope that you will find it useful. The purpose of this blog is to provide a convenient (and reliable) communication link between students, parents, the school and Mr. McDowell. I invite you to check this blog on a daily basis as I will be posting valuable information about the classroom and the school - including daily homework assignments, important dates, classroom/school news, etc.

Classroom News - Sept. 17

Our MC Knoll playground was quite wet and muddy today.  As a result, our shoes (and clothes) were "extra" dirty.  Our school is in the process of coming up with a plan to eliminate unnecessary dirt throughout our schools during wet/snowy/muddy days.  In the meantime, try to keep your outdoor/indoor shoes clean each day.

Please read through the "Student Contact Information" sheet (sent home yesterday) and update any information that is required.  If possible, return the form by Friday, Sept. 18.

Math 6 - Place Value Review (Friday, Sept. 18)
Social 5 - World Map (Monday, Sept. 21)

Reminders:
- Our 5/6ME students have the opportunity to grow their math understanding this year by using an online program called "KnowledgeHook".  Students will login using the class code and their @gssdschools.ca account.  Some information was sent home yesterday with login details - including a unique "parent code".  Check it out!
