Welcome to Mr. McDowell's classroom blog. I am very excited to have a classroom webpage and I hope that you will find it useful. The purpose of this blog is to provide a convenient (and reliable) communication link between students, parents, the school and Mr. McDowell. I invite you to check this blog on a daily basis as I will be posting valuable information about the classroom and the school - including daily homework assignments, important dates, classroom/school news, etc.

Classroom News - March 5

Happy Monday - apparently someone ordered a whole bunch of snow!?!?!  

 Ask your Gr. 6 son/daughter about their "Ratio's" math test...

 The Term 2 Report Cards will be handed-out on Friday, March 16.  As a result, ALL Term 2 assignment will be due Wednesday, March 7.  Those students who fail to meet this deadline may receive an IE on their Term 2 Report Cards.

Health - Term 2 Health Goal (OVERDUE)
Art - Term 2 Sketchbook (x6 sketches) (OVERDUE)
Math 5 - Renaming and Rounding Decimals (Tuesday, March 6)
Social 5 - John Cabot Q's (Tuesday, March 6)
Career G. - "Can Afford/Can't Afford" Booklet (Wednesday, March 7)
Health - Canada's Food Guide (Friday, March 9)

Reminders:
- The 2017-2018 Yearbook orders ($25.00 each) are now OVERDUE.
- A Sarcan field trip newsletter was sent home last week.  Please sign and return the form ASAP.  The trip is scheduled for Tuesday, March 13.
- There is another delicious bake sale on Friday, March 9 ($0.50 each)!
