Welcome to Mr. McDowell's classroom blog. I am very excited to have a classroom webpage and I hope that you will find it useful. The purpose of this blog is to provide a convenient (and reliable) communication link between students, parents, the school and Mr. McDowell. I invite you to check this blog on a daily basis as I will be posting valuable information about the classroom and the school - including daily homework assignments, important dates, classroom/school news, etc.

Classroom News - Oct. 22

A grade 7 and 8 invitational MC Knoll Halloween dance is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 29 from 7:00 - 10:00 p.m.  All tickets are $4.00 each and must be paid by Wednesday, Oct. 28 (including your own ticket and all of your guests).  A newsletter was sent home today with more details.

Homework:
Art - Caricatures (OVERDUE)
Math - Decimals Unit Test (Friday, Oct. 23)
Science - Biotic and Abiotic Activity (Tuesday, Oct. 27)
ELA - PowerPoint Book Report (Monday, Nov. 16)

Reminders:
- If you are interested in volunteering at our MC Knoll school (S.C.C member, swish program, etc.), please read and return the School Community Council newsletter ASAP.
- If interested in ordering school picture, please return the order form and appropriate money by Monday, Oct. 26.  If you are unhappy with the pictures, picture retakes are scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 27.
- Our grade 7 class is hoping to do some "pumpkin carving" next Wednesday, Oct. 28.  We ask the you bring a pumpkin to participate in the festivities...
