WELCOME!!!

Hello everyone,

Welcome to Mr. McDowell's classroom blog. I am very excited to have a classroom webpage and I hope that you will find it useful. The purpose of this blog is to provide a convenient (and reliable) communication link between students, parents, the school and Mr. McDowell. I invite you to check this blog on a daily basis as I will be posting valuable information about the classroom and the school - including daily homework assignments, important dates, classroom/school news, etc.

For your convenience, you can also sign-up to receive "daily updates" from this blog that automatically gets sent to your email every day there is a new posting. Simply type in your email address into the 'submit' box found on the right side of this blog.

More importantly, if you ever have any questions or concerns about your son/ daughter, please do not hesitate to contact me via phone, email, or this blog:

Classroom News - Sept. 21

Don't forget to support our playground improvement project by fueling up at participating Co-op gas stations (Yorkton, Kamsack, Churchbridge, Theodore) today - Tuesday, September 21.  10 cents per litre will be donated to the project. Let’s go Knights!

Homework:
Math - 1.6 Lowest Common Multiples (Wednesday, Sept. 22)
ELA - Writing Folder Collage (Thursday, Sept. 23)
ELA - September Writing Folder - x7 Paragraphs, x3 Terse Verse, and Sticky Story (Wednesday, Oct. 6)

Reminders:
- With the updated changes to the provincial masking policy, students are encouraged to bring their own masks from home.  However, disposable masks will still be provided as needed.
- On Friday, September 24, our MC Knoll School is participating in the Terry Fox Relay.  To recognize the significance of this day, we will be collecting “Toonies for Terry” prior to the relay event.  To meet our fundraising goal, we are asking each student to bring a toonie to support cancer research.  We are also sending each student a sticker to wear on the walk on Friday as a tribute to those who have been affected by the disease.  Thank you!  #tryliketerry
