Welcome to Mr. McDowell's classroom blog. I am very excited to have a classroom webpage and I hope that you will find it useful. The purpose of this blog is to provide a convenient (and reliable) communication link between students, parents, the school and Mr. McDowell. I invite you to check this blog on a daily basis as I will be posting valuable information about the classroom and the school - including daily homework assignments, important dates, classroom/school news, etc.

Classroom News - Dec. 9

Here is some IMPORTANT information regarding our upcoming "MC Knoll Christmas Celebration Video".  Please follow the weblink below - to give permission for your child to be part of the Christmas video.  Ask your son/daughter about what our 5/6ME class will be doing for the Christmas Celebration...

Homework:
Social Studies 6 - Vinicius Q's and "Come, Stay, Go?" Interview (OVERDUE)
Math 5 - Equivalent Fractions (using pictures) (Thursday, Dec. 10)
Science 5 - Bill Nye: Digestive System (Thursday, Dec. 10)

Reminders:
- Friday, Dec. 11 will be another fun Gr. 5/6 dress-up event - "Twin Day".  Coordinate your outfits with a classmate (or two)...and see if Mrs. Erhardt and Mr. McDowell can tell you apart!
- Students have now picked names for our 5/6ME "Secret Santa" activity.  The gifts will be exchanged on the last day of school (Friday, Dec. 18).  Please return your gift by Monday, Dec. 14 (to allow for proper COVID procedures). Also, please keep your costs between $8 - $10.  Let us know if you have any questions or concerns.  HO HO HO!  
- Some exciting MC Knoll "Spirit Days" are coming next week:
