Welcome to Mr. McDowell's classroom blog. I am very excited to have a classroom webpage and I hope that you will find it useful. The purpose of this blog is to provide a convenient (and reliable) communication link between students, parents, the school and Mr. McDowell. I invite you to check this blog on a daily basis as I will be posting valuable information about the classroom and the school - including daily homework assignments, important dates, classroom/school news, etc.

Classroom News - Oct. 21

Our grade 5 students were given an "optional" extension task in Science - the Lung Capacity LAB.  This activity can be done with the entire family!

Also, the grade 6 students were given their Math "Factors and Multiples" test scores today.  Please go through the test with your son/daughter, sign and return it ASAP.

Mrs. Erhardt and I thought to share our Lunch Hour Expectations with everyone.  This was co-created with all of the students.


There was nothing added to the Google Classroom today - as EVERYONE was at school today!

Social 6 - Latitude/Longitude Grid (OVERDUE)
Math 6 - Rounding Numbers (Thursday, Oct 22)
Science 6 - Electricity Timeline (Friday, Oct. 23)
Math 5 - Multiplication TEST (Friday, Oct. 23)

Reminders:
- Some new Knowledgehook Math Missions were uploaded last week.  Check them out...
- I sent home some Scholastic Book Order information last week - including an introductory letter and x2 pamphlets.  New this year: your order will now ship to your home and you can order online at scholastic.ca/clubshop.  If interested in ordering, please use our class code RC178758.
