WELCOME!!!

Hello everyone,

Welcome to Mr. McDowell's classroom blog. I am very excited to have a classroom webpage and I hope that you will find it useful. The purpose of this blog is to provide a convenient (and reliable) communication link between students, parents, the school and Mr. McDowell. I invite you to check this blog on a daily basis as I will be posting valuable information about the classroom and the school - including daily homework assignments, important dates, classroom/school news, etc.

For your convenience, you can also sign-up to receive "daily updates" from this blog that automatically gets sent to your email every day there is a new posting. Simply type in your email address into the 'submit' box found on the right side of this blog.

More importantly, if you ever have any questions or concerns about your son/ daughter, please do not hesitate to contact me via phone, email, or this blog:

Classroom News - Sept. 24

For those students who were absent today, check out the Google Classroom - Math 5, ELA 5, and Health.

Some important information was shared today in our MC Knoll announcements, including:
- Picture Day is coming!  Pictures for KB will be on Wednesday, October 14.  Pictures for KA and Grades 1 - 8 will be on Thursday, October 15.  After Picture Day, order pictures on mylifetouch.ca using your Portrait ID and Access Code which can be found on your Picture Day order form.
- September 30th is Orange Shirt Day. We ask that our Knights wear an article of orange clothing to support this worthy cause.

Homework:
Math 5 - Rounding Numbers (Friday, Sept. 25)
Math 6 - Lesson 5: Place Value (Decimals) (Friday, Sept. 25)
Social 5 - Canada Provinces/Territories Map (Friday, Sept. 25)
Social 6 - Canada Map (Friday, Sept. 25)

Reminders:
- For those families who are having trouble logging-in to KnowledgeHook, remember to use your Google Account.  That is, click on the "Google" symbol to access the class.  For some reason, entering the class code or clicking on the student's name doesn't give them access.  Sorry for any confusion?!?!
