Welcome to Mr. McDowell's classroom blog. I am very excited to have a classroom webpage and I hope that you will find it useful. The purpose of this blog is to provide a convenient (and reliable) communication link between students, parents, the school and Mr. McDowell. I invite you to check this blog on a daily basis as I will be posting valuable information about the classroom and the school - including daily homework assignments, important dates, classroom/school news, etc.

Classroom News - March 6

Ask your Gr. 5 son/daughter about today's math test - Data and Double-Bar Graphs!

 Another important playground donation letter was sent home today.  Please be generous and consider donating to this worthy community cause!

 Monday, March 9 is the annual Gr. 5-8 Asessippi Ski Trip!  The school will be open at 7:00 a.m. and the buses will leave at 7:30 a.m.  The Grade 5 to 8 students will return to our school at approximately 5:00 p.m.  Please dress appropriately for an entire day in the outdoors.  Also, be sure to bring food and drink for the day.  FUN, FUN, FUN!

 All Term 2 assignments are now OVERDUE.  Those students who failed to meet this deadline may earn an "Insufficient Evidence" (IE) on their report card.

Homework:
6 Social - "Pride of the Atlantic" Assignment (OVERDUE)
Art - Term 2 Sketchbook (OVERDUE)
6 Math - Graphing Table of Values (Monday, March 9)

Reminders:
- If interested, the "Purdy's Chocolatier" fundraiser is due Monday, March 23.  
- Term 2 Report Cards will be sent home Friday, March 20.
