Welcome to Mr. McDowell's classroom blog. I am very excited to have a classroom webpage and I hope that you will find it useful. The purpose of this blog is to provide a convenient (and reliable) communication link between students, parents, the school and Mr. McDowell. I invite you to check this blog on a daily basis as I will be posting valuable information about the classroom and the school - including daily homework assignments, important dates, classroom/school news, etc.

Classroom News - Sept. 5

Students have successfully setup accounts using the "Google Classroom" platform, as well as "Math Prodigy".  Ask your son/daughter about them!

Also, students accomplished their first math assessment of the year - the Gr. 6 Math Screener.

Come on out to the MC Knoll "Open House" tomorrow (Thursday, Sept. 6) from 3:30-5:30. 

Homework:

Art - Locker Name Tag (Friday, Sept. 7)

Reminders:
- Students will need an extra 2" binder to help setup their Science/Social Studies properly.  Please provide this ASAP.  Thanks in advance!

- Read through the MC Knoll Student Handbook with your son/daughter (found on the bottom of the blog). 

- Some items that were sent home yesterday:
        
        - Fair Notice Letter (tan)
        - Attendance Letter (green)

   
- Please sign and return the following forms by Friday, Sept, 7: 
        - Classroom Guidelines and Expectations sheet (yellow) 
        - Classroom Blog sheet (pink)

        - Safety Patrol form (optional)
        - Milk Purchase form (optional)
