Welcome to Mr. McDowell's classroom blog. I am very excited to have a classroom webpage and I hope that you will find it useful. The purpose of this blog is to provide a convenient (and reliable) communication link between students, parents, the school and Mr. McDowell. I invite you to check this blog on a daily basis as I will be posting valuable information about the classroom and the school - including daily homework assignments, important dates, classroom/school news, etc.

Classroom News - May 1

Happy Monday...and Happy May!

 Sorry for the "no post" on Friday - I was away from the school.

 The GSSD Track and Field Meet form is now OVERDUE!  The actual meet is scheduled for Friday, May 12.

 The May Adventure Ed. form is also OVERDUE.  Due to the "chance of rain" today, we have postponed the Adventure Ed. class until tomorrow (Tuesday, May 2).  Students will again need a bike and helmet for the Adventure Ed. class - biking to Logan Green!

Some very important SURVIVOR information was sent home last week.  Please sign and return the permission form and $30 fee by Friday, May 5...the actual day of SURVIVOR CANADA 150!!!

Math - Practice x3 Parallel Line Strategies (Tuesday, May 2)
Health - Self Esteem Worksheet and Skit (Wednesday, May 3)
ELA - Courage Research Poster (Monday, May 8)

Reminders:
- Wednesday, May 3 is "SURVIVOR Canada Day" - wear red/white!
- MC Knoll will be hosting a 1/2 Price Book Fair on Wednesday, May 3 and Thursday, May 4.
- There is also an optional "Solestice Track Meet" on Saturday, May 13 at the YRHS.  More information can be found at www.solesticeclassic.com
