Welcome to Mr. McDowell's classroom blog. I am very excited to have a classroom webpage and I hope that you will find it useful. The purpose of this blog is to provide a convenient (and reliable) communication link between students, parents, the school and Mr. McDowell. I invite you to check this blog on a daily basis as I will be posting valuable information about the classroom and the school - including daily homework assignments, important dates, classroom/school news, etc.

Classroom News - April 26

Ask your son/daughter about the Science Earth's Crust and Resources Inquiry Project.

 The May Adventure Ed. form is to be signed and returned by Monday, May 1.  Students will also need a bike and helmet for the Monday, May 1 Adventure Ed. class - biking to Logan Green!

 The ELA Book Club Reading Unit newsletter is now OVERDUE.  The following people need to return their form:
- ZA             - KeP               - JaP

Homework:
Math - 9.5 Angles and 9.6 Classifying Angles (Thursday, April 27)
Health - What is Mental/Emotional Health Quiz (Thursday, April 27)

Reminders:
- MC Knoll will be hosting a 1/2 Price Book Fair on Wednesday, May 3 and Thursday, May 4.  We are looking for volunteers to work at the book fair.  Please contact the school if you are able to help!
- The GSSD Track Meet is scheduled for Friday, May 12.  Please return the "track event form" by Friday, April 28.
- Speaking of Track and Field, there is also an optional "Solestice Track Meet" on Saturday, May 13 at the YRHS.  More information can be found at www.solesticeclassic.com
- SURVIVOR is coming - Friday, May 5 to be exact!  More information to come soon...
