Hello everyone,

Welcome to Mr. McDowell's classroom blog. I am very excited to have a classroom webpage and I hope that you will find it useful. The purpose of this blog is to provide a convenient (and reliable) communication link between students, parents, the school and Mr. McDowell. I invite you to check this blog on a daily basis as I will be posting valuable information about the classroom and the school - including daily homework assignments, important dates, classroom/school news, etc.

Classroom News - Sept. 6

I hope the long-weekend treated everyone well!

 As promised, the students now have their daily school schedule (ie: class/subject timetable).  You can review it on the bottom of this blog.

 Homework:
Math - Number Relationships Pre-Test (Wednesday, Sept. 7)
Science - Scientist Wanted Poster (Tuesday, Sept. 13)

Reminders:
- There will be an MC Knoll Open House and BBQ on Thursday, Sept. 8 from 5:00-7:00.  Come on out and enjoy some good food and good company.
- Read through the MC Knoll Student Handbook with your son/daughter (found on the bottom of the blog). 

- Some items that were sent home last week include:
        - Student Accident Insurance Pamphlet (optional to purchase)
        - Fair Notice Letter 
        - Sept. City of Yorkton Newsletter
        - School Calendar Magnet

- Please sign and return the following forms by tomorrow (Wednesday, Sept, 7): 
        - Classroom Guidelines and Expectations sheet (yellow) 
        - Classroom Blog sheet (purple)
        - Adventure Ed. form and $30 fee (white)
        - Parkland College Consent form (optional to participate)
        - Student Contact Information Sheet (white)
        - Safety Patrol Permission Form (for those who volunteered)
