Welcome to Mr. McDowell's classroom blog. I am very excited to have a classroom webpage and I hope that you will find it useful. The purpose of this blog is to provide a convenient (and reliable) communication link between students, parents, the school and Mr. McDowell. I invite you to check this blog on a daily basis as I will be posting valuable information about the classroom and the school - including daily homework assignments, important dates, classroom/school news, etc.

Classroom News - May 4

We decided to move the Geometry Math test to Friday, May 6...

 New this year, students will need parental permission to attend the GSSD Track and Field Meet.  Please sign and return the permission form by Friday, May 6.

Also, please sign and return the "May Adventure Ed. Permission Form" by Friday, May 6.  Activities this month include biking to the Logan Green, biking to the Nature Trail, and doing the City of Yorkton Walking Tour.

Homework:
Art - Picture for Drawing Your Own Pointillism (ASAP)
Science - Earth's Crust Webquest (OVERDUE)
Math - 8.4 Angle Bisector (Thursday, May 5)
Math - Geometry Math TEST (Friday, May 6)
ELA - Writing Folder (CSI and Poetry) (Monday, May 9)

Reminders:
- Another delicious bake sale is scheduled for Friday, May 6.
- Friday, May 6 is also "Twin Day"!
- Students will need a bike and helmet for the Friday, May 6 Adventure Ed class.  Also, if students have some extra money sitting around, they may want to bring it (to enjoy a tasty "cool" treat)!
