Welcome to Mr. McDowell's classroom blog. I am very excited to have a classroom webpage and I hope that you will find it useful. The purpose of this blog is to provide a convenient (and reliable) communication link between students, parents, the school and Mr. McDowell. Classroom News - Feb. 22

Welcome Back!  

 It seems like "forever" since I was at school (ask your son/daughter about my absence)!?!?

I do hope everyone's Feb. Break went well!

Our grade 6-8 students will be participating in One School, One Book - the novel Shooting Kabul.  A very detailed newsletter, along with a copy of the novel was sent home today.  Take part of this awesome activity as a family, using the recommended Twitter feed (#shootingkabul) and Instagram account (MCK1S1B) to win cool prizes.  In addition, there will be daily trivia (ie: Bell Work) around the novel that students will attempt every day.  Enjoy the story and the time spent reading as a family!

- The next Adventure Ed. is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 26.  We will be attempting some more cross-country skiing, as well as snowshoeing.  Please sign and return the Adventure Ed. Form.
