Welcome to Mr. McDowell's classroom blog. I am very excited to have a classroom webpage and I hope that you will find it useful. The purpose of this blog is to provide a convenient (and reliable) communication link between students, parents, the school and Mr. McDowell. I invite you to check this blog on a daily basis as I will be posting valuable information about the classroom and the school - including daily homework assignments, important dates, classroom/school news, etc.

Classroom News - Oct. 26

Happy Monday!

 We have a busy week in front of us.  Please review the "reminders" section of the blog for the upcoming events this week...

Homework:
ELA - Small Group Reading #2 (Tuesday, Oct. 27)
Science - Biotic and Abiotic Activity (Tuesday, Oct. 27)
Math - Percentage Pre-Test (Tuesday, Oct. 27)
Social - Treaty Project (Wednesday, Oct. 28)
ELA - PowerPoint Book Report (Monday, Nov. 16)

Reminders:
- School pictures are now OVERDUE.  If you are unhappy with the pictures, picture retakes are scheduled for tomorrow (Tuesday, Oct. 27).
- Our grade 7 class is hoping to do some "pumpkin carving" Wednesday, Oct. 28.  We ask the you bring a pumpkin to participate in the festivities...
- A grade 7 and 8 invitational MC Knoll Halloween dance is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 29 from 7:00 - 10:00 p.m.  All tickets are $4.00 each and must be paid by Wednesday, Oct. 28 (including your own ticket and all of your guests).
- There will be an MC Knoll Halloween parade Friday, Oct. 30 (shortly after 1:00 p.m.).  Thereafter, we will be having a Grade 7 Halloween Party.  Students are encouraged to bring "healthy snacks".
