Welcome to Mr. McDowell's classroom blog. I am very excited to have a classroom webpage and I hope that you will find it useful. The purpose of this blog is to provide a convenient (and reliable) communication link between students, parents, the school and Mr. McDowell. I invite you to check this blog on a daily basis as I will be posting valuable information about the classroom and the school - including daily homework assignments, important dates, classroom/school news, etc.

Classroom News - Dec. 19

Ask your son/daughter about the "Math Test"...for those who wrote it today.

Tomorrow (Friday, Dec. 20) is "Pajama Day".

Also tomorrow, students are encouraged to bring board games from home.

Reminders
- The "winter break" will run from Saturday, Dec. 21 until Sunday, Jan. 5.  School, in the 2014 year, will resume Monday, Jan. 6.

Our WE ACT Club has chosen to participate in the Free the Children "Brick by Brick" program. We are asking students to donate any spare change they have to support this cause. Also, the WE ACT Club will be selling bracelets throughout the year for $2.00. Their goal is to raise $10 000 by the end of the year - which will build a school in Haiti.
