Welcome to Mr. McDowell's classroom blog. I am very excited to have a classroom webpage and I hope that you will find it useful. The purpose of this blog is to provide a convenient (and reliable) communication link between students, parents, the school and Mr. McDowell. I invite you to check this blog on a daily basis as I will be posting valuable information about the classroom and the school - including daily homework assignments, important dates, classroom/school news, etc.

Classroom News - Oct. 9

Tomorrow (Thursday, Oct. 10) is the next 2:30 pm early dismissal.

Homework
LA - Reread "Gearing Up for the Cold" (Thursday, Oct. 10)
Health - Food Journal (1-Day) (Friday, Oct. 11)
Social - Map Test (Wednesday, Oct. 16)
Math - Decimals Unit TEST (Friday, Oct. 18)

Reminders
- If you are interested in ordering from the September/October Scholastic Book orders, the appropriate form and fees are due by tomorrow (Thursday, Oct. 10).
- Tomorrow (Thursday, Oct. 10) is also "litterless lunch" day. Try and bring a school lunch and snacks that do not produce any unnatural form of garbage.
- Our wonderful school community is collecting any non-perishable food items for the annual "FCC Drive Away Hunger". Please make your food donations by Wednesday, Oct. 16 to help those in need.
- If you are interested in ordering some beautiful school photos of your son/daughter, please return the necessary form and payment by Thursday, Oct. 17.
