Welcome to Mr. McDowell's classroom blog. I am very excited to have a classroom webpage and I hope that you will find it useful. The purpose of this blog is to provide a convenient (and reliable) communication link between students, parents, the school and Mr. McDowell. I invite you to check this blog on a daily basis as I will be posting valuable information about the classroom and the school - including daily homework assignments, important dates, classroom/school news, etc.

Classroom News - Jan. 29

Survivor is tomorrow!

Don't forgot to gather your "colored t-shirt" for the Survivor day activities.

More importantly, don't forgot to gather ALL of your items for the Survivor evening activities including food, swimming gear, gym clothes, outdoor clothes, etc.  Refer to the "pink newsletter" that was sent home earlier this week for specific details.

A Dairy Queen hot-lunch form was sent home today.  If interested in ordering, the form and fees are due by Monday, Feb. 4.

Art - Color Wheels and Grey Scale (Monday, Feb. 4)
Math - Problem Solving Questions (Monday, Feb. 4)
Math - Probability Board Game (Monday, Feb. 4)
Health - Nutrition Unit TEST (Monday, Feb. 4)
Science - Ecosystems Unit TEST (Thursday, Feb. 7)
LA - Cereal Book Report (Tuesday, Feb. 12)

Reminders
- Survivor pledge forms are due tomorrow (Wednesday, Jan. 30). For every $10 students fundraise, they will earn an entry to win one of many great prizes!
- Our annual ski/snowboard trip to Asessippi Ski Area will take place on Wednesday, Feb. 13. The permission form and appropriate fees are also due tomorrow (Wednesday, Jan. 30).
- Scholastic book report are due by Friday, Feb. 8.
