Welcome to Mr. McDowell's classroom blog. I am very excited to have a classroom webpage and I hope that you will find it useful. The purpose of this blog is to provide a convenient (and reliable) communication link between students, parents, the school and Mr. McDowell. I invite you to check this blog on a daily basis as I will be posting valuable information about the classroom and the school - including daily homework assignments, important dates, classroom/school news, etc.

Classroom News - Oct. 3

Two newsletters were sent home today:
- MC Knoll October school newsletter
- MC Knoll open-house information

Any students wanting to be the 7M SRC representative, you are required to write and present a minumum 1-minute speech to the class about "why you would be a good SRC representative for our classroom".  You will be making your speech on Wednesday, Oct. 10.

Homework
Science - "Schoolyard" Lab Write-up (Thursday, Oct. 4)
LA - "Living Life to the Extreme" Questions and Activities (Rap/Poem and Chart) (Tuesday, Oct. 9)
LA - Sept./Oct. Writing Folder (Friday, Oct. 12)

Reminders
- There will be a bake sale on Friday, Oct. 5. The delicious-tasting items will be sold for $0.25 each.
- There is NO SCHOOL on Monday, Oct. 8 (Thanksgiving)
- The next noon hour early dismissal is Thursday, Oct. 11.
- The new date for "Picture Day" is Thursday, Oct. 11.
