Welcome to Mr. McDowell's classroom blog. I am very excited to have a classroom webpage and I hope that you will find it useful. The purpose of this blog is to provide a convenient (and reliable) communication link between students, parents, the school and Mr. McDowell. Classroom News - Jan. 18

Grade 8 students started their next math unit today on Rates, Ratios and Proportion.

Ski/Snowboard trip information was sent home today.  Be sure to read it over with your son/daughter.  Forms and fees are due back by Monday, Jan. 25.

Reminders:
- Due to the nature of the Survivor events/accomodations (gallagher center rental, food, misc. supplies), all students are required to pay a $20 fee.
- Also, students are HIGHLY encouraged to raise money for the Survivor event - as it is for a great cause and demonstrates that students want to be a part of the Survivor event. Every $15 raised gives students an entry to win a quad. Forms and pledge money are due back Monday, Jan. 25.

Homework:
Art - Classroom Puzzle (overdue Monday, Jan. 18)
Math 8 - Ratio Worksheet (due Tuesday, Jan. 19)
